MOTION STABILITY’S COVID-19 CRITERIA / GUIDELINES

FOR CLINIC APPOINTMENTS

At Motion Stability, we know that physical therapists serve a vital role in decreasing utilization of physician’s offices and emergency rooms for those who are in pain, and this is especially important during these extraordinary times.  We want you to know that our doors are open to serve you and that our mission is to continue to keep you healthy and help you live your life pain-free.  We are utilizing the utmost precautions in screening our patients and ourselves, and continue to implement disinfecting and sanitizing procedures.  Out of extreme precaution, we closed our clinic from 3/18/20 through 3/31/20 and all of our team members self-isolated and socially distanced during that time.  As you are considering scheduling an appointment, we ask that you please utilize the following guidelines:

We are asking patients to only come for a physical visit if the following criteria apply:

  • You have socially distanced (maintained at least 6 feet of space) from those who do not live with you
  • No current signs, symptoms, or risk factors related to coronavirus.
    • The CDC lists the following as symptoms of COVID-19:
      • Fever
      • Cough
      • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
      • Chills
      • Repeated shaking with chills
      • Muscle pain
      • Headache
      • Sore throat
      • New loss of taste or smell

If any of the above statements do not apply to you, then we kindly ask that you do not come into the clinic until you are cleared to do so per the CDC guidelines.

FURTHER GUIDELINES / STEPS FOR THE APPOINTMENT VISIT

If you are able to come to the clinic, here are some parameters we would like for you to follow, as well as guidelines we have set up to ensure further safety:

  • A face mask is required to be worn by all patients. Be assured that your therapist will wear appropriate PPE throughout your treatment session
  • We will not be utilizing the waiting room.  Once you arrive to the 550 building, please wait in your car until you receive notification that your therapist is ready to see you
  • Once you have been notified that your therapist is ready, you may proceed to the 5th floor
  • We ask that you wash your hands in the bathroom just by the elevator doors and outside our clinic door prior to your appointment
  • You will be met outside the clinic door by one of our admin staff or physical therapists who will ask you screening questions and take your temperature.
  • If you do not have a fever, then you will be permitted to enter the clinic.
  • The clinic table and equipment will be sanitized and ready before you start your session
  • At the end of your session, please wash your hands again in our clinic or at the bathroom by the elevator.
  • We know this may seem overly cautious, but at this time we have to ensure the safety and health of you, other patients, and our staff.

If you are unable to leave your home, but would like to consult with a physical therapist, we are offering telehealth rehabilitation.  Please contact us to inquire about those sessions.
